A fractal
in four dimensions.

The quaternion Julia set lives in ℙ, the four-dimensional algebra Hamilton scratched into a Dublin bridge in 1843. We can only see slices — a three-dimensional shadow, raymarched per pixel, morphing as the constant c drifts.

Every silhouette here is a snapshot of an object that does not fit in our world.
